Recital Scheme

What is the Recital Scheme?

How it works

During the auditions in the Spring, the Countess of Munster Trustees select outstanding performers from amongst their award winners to join the Recital Scheme. In September each year, a new roster of artists will be listed on the website and promoters can check the availability of each artist by completing the booking form, which can be accessed by clicking on your chosen artists’ profile. The Trust will ascertain the availability of the artist(s) and will then provide the promoter with contact details for further liaison directly between the promoter and the artist. The Trust will cover fees for up to two musicians, please see Recital Scheme Guidelines for more information.

The benefits of the Scheme are twofold: not only does it provide young musicians with experience of a professional platform and exposure to audiences throughout the country, but music clubs themselves also benefit from introductions to talented young musicians and the subsidy that the Trust provides.

From September 2024 the Munster Recital Scheme will be part of the UK Artists Directory, a platform hosting Munster Trust Recital Scheme Artists, UK-based YCAT Artists and Associate Artists, and booking of artists will be open to all promoters and music clubs in the UK.
